The fantastic Radisson Blu Hotel, Trondheim Airport Stjordal, situated nearly 25 minutes' walk from Overlands Minde, features various recreational opportunities and barbecue. The 4-star smoke-free hotel offers an à la carte restaurant and features perfect location with a such place of power and worship as the parish Vaernes Church around 2 km away.
The hotel lies approximately metres from Strindfjorden and approximately a 5-minute ride from the Open Air Stjordal museum Vaernes. Storvika Beach is 2.5 km from the Radisson Blu Stjordal, while Trondheim airport is 150 metres from it. Trondheim lufthavn Lufthavnveien bus stop is just a 5-minute walk away.
Overlooking the fjord, some rooms at the property feature sound-proofed windows furnished with a writing desk. Guests can make use of a minibar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, and relax with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. For more comfort, a hair dryer and bath sheets, along with a separate toilet and a shower, are provided.

I recently had the opportunity to host a corporate retreat at Radisson Blu, and it was a mix of good points and some not-so-great experiences. First, the business amenities were comprehensive. The 10 versatile meeting rooms catered well to our group size, and I appreciated the experienced Meetings & Events coordinators who ensured we had everything from audiovisual equipment to customized catering. This helped us stay on track and focused during our sessions. It was frustrating that the hotel lacked signage directing guests from the train platform. After a long day, clear directions would have been helpful. While the free coffee in the lounge was a nice touch, I expected a bit more variety in the restaurant menu. In terms of location, it's conveniently close to the airport, which is a plus for early flights. All in all, Radisson Blu serves as a functional space for business travelers but could enhance the experience with better communication and minor tweaks.
